Post XV [Announcement] - Taking part at NaNoWriMo 2012

National Novel Writing Month is upon us, and I will be celebrating this great event by, how else of course, taking part with the goal of writing a 50.000 words novel before the last day of November.

This is just an announcement post and very soon I will be back with more information, including my NaNoWriMo profile page, the cover of the novel and a short description of the novel's theme.

Post XIV - Wrong Impulse

Here's one of my first more serious approaches to short film making.

Wrong Impulse tells the story of a young man who's going through depression and a day that comes with a hard choice to make.

What have I been up to I am sure a lot of you wonder................................ No one?

Okay. Here I am once again to tell you what is going on, on both my mind and my work. For this post I will go way back when I was a child at the age of nine. From that young age I was always day dreaming, as I still do, of characters, stories and situations. I suppose we all did that as a child, but I would always imagine something specific right after my spacing out reached a "climax". Everything would go black, and I would see my name coming up with big white letters.

I did not think of that detail much and I kept on going with my day dreaming. At some point and I do not remember specifically when, after I finished watching a film, I saw the ending titles like I had done numerous times before on so many other films, but it was on this one and at this specific moment in time that something hit me. The black screen, the white letters, Directed By..... THAT WAS IT! That's what I want to do, make movies!

If I started "day dreaming with a purpose' since I was 9 years old if not younger, it makes it 11 years now I want to do this. But sadly and finally it was just some days ago that I took it seriously. Of course I have written numerous stories and scripts, but now I will dedicate myself and life to this beautiful art-form.

I am working on a couple of scripts, stories and ideas. Right now I am shaping a concept I created more than half a year ago, which I also happened to mention on one of my early posts here on this blog.

The story initially ran by the title "A Wonderful Vista", but now it goes by the name...
